Nice work Vermont Roads! A pothole ate my left front tire on the way home tonight. I'm not sure exactly how flat it was for how long... damn active nibble-control in the Fiesta ST's electric steering made it hard to tell how flat it was until i turned into my driveway :/ I know it was about 3 miles from when I hit the pothole to when I pulled in, and the outer edge of the rim looks OK, but its now VERY flat. I hate these damn Michelin xIce xI3 snow tires, but I was hoping to keep them at least for one whole winter. Of course I didn't buy the road-hazard coverage. Why would I do that :p

Damn, those tires have some sidewall too, better work on dodging potholes.

I know how you feel. I hit a decorative concrete rock with the side of the tire on my wife's F-150 and tore a big chunk of the sidewall rubber. It isn't flat, but I still now have to get a $300 tire.

Hindsight is 20/20, but as a Detroit resident on lo-pro tires, this is my life.

This x1000. After all these freeze/thaw cycles in the past 3 weeks, the potholes and expansion joint swells have gotten MASSIVE. I tried to pick up a pizza friday night. I have never been in a car that donkey kicked so violently. I am amazed my jetta stayed together.

Dude, I'm in NY. Our roads are pretty awful as well. Just wrote my own post about it haha.

I know that feel bro. I've hit a few so hard I immediately look down to the tire pressure light, with what I'm sure is a "oh fuck" look right across my face.
Also, now I think my suspension is too stiff.

Remember what I said about how my friend's crossfire nearly broke our backs as 18 year olds after hitting a michigan pothole? This is me after reading what you just wrote.

At least you had TPMS to warn you immediately... I did not buy the monitors for my winter rims and the damn ST is so well balanced and the Ford EPAS (Electric Power Steering System) is so good at correcting for torque-steer that it wasn't even obvious it was flat until I took the slow turn over the sidewalk and into my driveway... Luckily the road post-killer-pothole was relatively smooth or I might have pounded the shit out of my rim. Those MSWs are fairly beefy though and the outside edge at least looks OK. I'll pull off the wheel tomorrow morning and swap front to rear so the spare can live out back... I hope the inside edge of the rim looks as fine as the outside.... haha, actually the rims are cheaper than the fucking tires :p

Haha I know. But it can't be winter forever, and I just need to go hit up a curvy road to remember why I like it.
Damn I just realized I'm getting soft in my old age. Just barely over a year ago I had a car virtually no interior or exhaust. *puts head down in shame* I'll see myself out.

This seems to be the trend on Oppo... three in two days

Ah yes, I too remember when I thought I was boss because I ripped out every square inch of carpet and sound deadening in the lolcar for weight savings. I also remember being able to tell the size of the piece of gravel that made each pinging noise when it struck some part of my car.......I think I'd rather hang myself than drive that shitbox again.

Haha good luck. A friend of mine tipped me off that you may be able to get the city to pay for a replacement. I plan on calling my city's Public Works office tomorrow morning. You should check too!
